The Ravens put on an exciting show for those inside Hayes Lane on Tuesday evening, earning a 5-0 success over Watford U23s.
The visitors started brightly and enjoyed a good amount of possession throughout the match. But, it was Bromley who would force the issue early on with chances falling to Whitely and Arthurs. Neither of which troubled Macaulay in the Watford goal.
Bromley made their early pressure count when, on 28 minutes, they took the lead. Michael Cheek cooly converted from 10-yards out after a well-worked move from the right.
The Ravens quickly double their lead just moments later. Whitely, who impressed throughout the first half, cut in from the left and hit a strike beyond Macaulay. Woodman’s side went into the break with the two goal advantage. The only change at the break saw the introduction of 1st Year Pro Marcus Sablier.
And, the young midfielder would quickly score his first senior goal for the Club just five minutes into the second half. A cross from Coulson on the right was sweetly met by Sablier, with his half-volley crashing into the bottom corner for 3-0.
Two goals then came from trialists to round off a superb performance from Andy Woodman’s team. The squad now looking ahead to the visit of Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.
