We are delighted to share the news that Michael Cheek has signed a contract extension with Bromley Football Club.

The prolific striker joined up with Neil Smith ahead of the 2019/20 season and has since gone on to make a huge impact at Hayes Lane.

The 29 year old is a seasoned performer at National League level, having made his name at Heybridge Swifts, before moving on to Chelmsford City. After a successful one and a half season spell with the Clarets, which saw him score 35 goals in 66 appearances, he made the move to Braintree Town. Cheek remained with the Iron for two seasons, scoring 42 goals in 98 games.

His prolific spell earned him a move to fellow Essex outfit Dagenham & Redbridge, where he spent a single season, in which he scored twice in a 5-1 win over Bromley. In the Summer of 2018, Cheek signed for Ebbsfleet United and spent the 2018/19 campaign with Bromley’s Kent Rivals, scoring 16 goals.

In the cut-short 2019/20 season Cheek scored 15 goals in all competitions, and this season he already has double figures with 11 in all competitions.

The news comes ahead of Tuesday night’s FA Trophy tie with Woking and you can buy your live stream pass for that game to see our number nine in action by clicking here.
