Tuesday night saw Kent rivals Bromley and Dover Athletic go head to head at The Crabbie in the first round of the Kent Senior Cup sponsored by Kent Reliance.
Bromley fielded a mixture of first team and academy players in the clash. Brendan Kiernan made a return having signed on a non contract basis and former academy players Jordan Higgs and Coral O’ Leary also linked up with the Bromley side.
Bromley’s goals came in the second half. The first saw Bradley Goldberg turn his defender on the edge of the box before slotting a strike into the bottom corner of the goal on the hour mark. Despite continuing pressure from the home side, it was Bromley who took advantage with a counter attack in the final minute of the game. Pierre Joseph-Dubois cut through the Dover defence before beating the keeper with a left foot strike to seal the win.
The win means Bromley will travel to the winners of Sittingbourne v Whitstable Town who face each other on 6th October.
