Bromley Football Club are delighted to share that two of our Under 23 Personal Trainer Course Graduates have been awarded U.S Scholarships.
20 year old Ivan Agyaakwah joined the U23 P.T. course in 2019-20, having been released by Barnet where he also made 1st team appearances. In his time on the programme, he has achieved his BTEC level 3 in Sport and has qualified as a level 2 gym instructor and a level 3 personal trainer. Ivan applied for a U.S. Soccer Scholarship through Furman University, South Carolina, and is currently selecting his major where he will play in the NCAA Division 1 College programme.
Tyrone Kirunda, also 20, signed up for the same course following his release from Charlton Athletic. He has been accepted to Santa Clara University, where he will study Economics with a minor in international economics.
Both players have worked tirelessly and have shown an excellent commitment to their studies and football, demonstrating their potential as learners and players. They will now have the opportunity to play alongside top-level academics and compete against other American Universities in front of crowds, in world-class stadiums and state-of-the-art training facilities.
They join the Bromley FC Academy Education Alumni and are future role models for the younger generations.
Everyone at Bromley Football Club would like to wish Ivan and Tyrone the very best of luck in the next stage of their development.
