This Saturday Bromley are on their travels again, this time to Yorkshire where they will play the return Vanarama National League fixture against FC Halifax Town, kick-off 3.00 pm.
Bromley should have travelled North on 23rd January, but the League agreed to switch the fixture at late notice due to the inclement weather in the early part of the year making The Shay waterlogged, which would have meant the game being postponed.
In the home fixture a Michael Cheek penalty was not enough to save the Hayes Lane Club from falling to a 2-1 defeat.
The Kentish side will be looking for their first victory at The Shay on their fifth visit, having drawn 2-2 in each of two games and lost 2-1 in both the other two fixtures, one of which was last season’s defeat.
FC Halifax are currently challenging for a playoff spot and are in 5th position with 8 games to play.
They have accumulated 56 points from their completed fixtures. Last Saturday, in front of the BT Sport television cameras, they came from two goals down to win 4-2 at home against Kings Lynn Town – the four goals coming in a 15-minute spell either side of half time. Whilst on Tuesday evening they did to Chesterfield what Bromley had done last Saturday, by winning 2-1 on their opponent’s ground.
