Bromley will be looking to capitalise on their last three fixtures against their opponents, where they won their home fixture earlier this year – which was played in front of the BT Sports television cameras – and an FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round tie at Hayes Lane last season, together with their first ever victory in the League at the Recreation Ground early last season. Jack Holland’s goal was the difference between the two sides in that sixth Isthmian and National League meeting to date.
Bromley did win the second leg of an Isthmian League Cup Semi Final tie, after extra time in the 1998-99 season, but failed to reach the Final as Aldershot had won the first leg 3-1 at Hayes Lane and went through on aggregate.
Bromley have visited their rivals’ ground a total of ten occasions in various Cup and league encounters and have won just two and drawn three of these games.
Last season’s home League fixture was not played as it was scheduled for April, with the season curtailed in March.
Aldershot have lost their last two home fixtures by the same 3-1 scoreline, going down to Hartlepool United last Saturday, and on Tuesday evening to near neighbours, Eastleigh.
