The Club are pleased to confirm that goalkeeper Mark Cousins has started his rehabilitation following the injury he sustained away to Yeovil Town on 28th September.
Mark commented; “I’m not feeling too bad now to be fair! It’s been a tough couple of weeks, but the shoulder is feeling good now. I saw a specialist last Monday evening and he booked me in the following afternoon for an operation, which was a fairly quick and simple procedure.”
“It’s a three month recovery in terms of letting everything heal, but I’m out of the sling now and I have a bit of movement, and I can start with my shoulder strengthening exercise now.”
On the help Mark has received from the Club and head physiotherapist Paul Smith, he added; “Paul has been fantastic. He got me in to see one of the top surgeons so quickly, which is a bonus, because I don’t think I could have waited much longer with the state my shoulder was in! Because of that, my recovery can begin sooner and I can put my full focus on getting back fit.
“When you’re injured, it’s not nice being at home. I think I was only at home for five or six days and that was enough. I was listening to commentary of the Barrow game, which made me realise how much I was missing it. It’s good to be back around the boys is great.”
