Bromley started the game brightly and soon found themselves ahead when a cross from the right by Bays, which was turned into the net by a Tower Hamlets defender. The same player almost made amends when she met a corner at the back post but could only head wide. Bromley scored from their own corner taken by Robertson, shortly after when the ball fell to Bays in the box who found the net for the first time this season. Tower Hamlets grew into the game and before half time scored with a shot from 30yds which found the top corner and left Morris, in goal in the absence of a recognised keeper, no chance to stop. Spinks almost extended Bromley’s lead but fired narrowly over at the end of the first half.

In the second half Tower Hamlets drew level when Morris saved with her feet only for the ball to rebound to another Hamlets player who found the roof of the net. Bromley re-gathered themselves and pushed for the winner. Davies won a throw in and quickly took it herself, finding Bays in side the penalty area who beat her player before curling the ball into the back of the net. Bromley held onto the lead and can thank Baker for a fine last ditch tackle in the penalty area towards the end of the game.
