Latest update; The Darlington pitch passed a precautionary pitch inspection earlier today (Tuesday) and Wednesday’s match will go ahead as planned! Supporters coach will now depart 11am at Hayes Lane.
Bromley Football Club received the following communication from The Football Association on Monday;
“The Buildbase FA Trophy – Fourth Round Proper Replay
Spennymoor Town v Bromley
Following an independent pitch inspection which has taken place at Brewery Field today on behalf of The FA, and after taking into account submissions that have been made to The FA from both Clubs, it has been decided that:-
- the above match has now been postponed by The FA;
- the match shall be played on Wednesday 14 March, 7.45pm at Darlington FC;
- that in the event the match is not played on Wednesday 14 March, 7.45pm at Darlington FC it shall be played on Saturday 17 March, 3.00pm at Bromley FC.
The rationale for the above decision is to try and prevent causing disruption to the Competition and at the same time provide a fair opportunity for the match to be played this week within a reasonable proximity of Spennymoor Town FC.”
Remember six local businesses have joined forces to provide free return travel for supporters wanting to go to the rearranged FA Trophy quarter final replay!
