Latest update; The Darlington pitch passed a precautionary pitch inspection earlier today (Tuesday) and Wednesday’s match will go ahead as planned! Supporters coach will now depart 11am at Hayes Lane.
Six local businesses have joined forces to provide free return travel for supporters wanting to go to the rearranged FA Trophy quarter final replay against Spennymoor on Tuesday evening.
The first game was postponed just 90 minutes before kick-off, much to the frustration of the club and fans who’d made the 270 mile trip to County Durham. But thanks to this gesture from some leading local businesses, fans can travel to the rearranged game without being further out of pocket.
Two coaches are being laid on, departing The H2T Group Stadium at 11am and you can register for the trip using the form below. We’ll be giving priority to those fans who made the original trip, but we’re expecting to have room for more, so register your interest now and you could be there to support the team as they battle for a place in the FA Trophy semi-finals.
“This is an amazing gesture from some great local businesses,” said our chairman Jerry Dolke.
“It was a long trip for our fans, many of whom had taken time off work, only to find they’d travelled for nothing. Now hopefully they’ll be able to go again and get to see a game this time.
And now a few more who couldn’t make it first time will be able to join us now thanks to this offer of free travel. It could be a memorable night.”
The rearranged match is being played on Wednesday 14th March at Darlington FC’s ground with a 7.45pm kick off.
To book your free return coach travel please use the form below.
