Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce that defender Jake Goodman has agreed a new deal.
The former Maidenhead United man signed for the Club last summer and memorably scored the winning goal against Sutton United on New Years’ Day in front of the BT Sport cameras with his first touch of the ball.
After suffering an ACL injury in March against Boreham Wood, Goodman has worked tirelessly in his recovery thus far, and will have an operation this week to ensure his return to match fitness during next season.
Goodman commented; “The Club has shown massive amounts of loyalty and have been excellent throughout. I’m now looking to get back fit as soon as I can to help the team and repay the faith shown. I’ve got my operation this week and I hope to be back in on 1st June to kick start my recovery.”
Manager Neil Smith added; “Jake goes in for his operation this week and fingers crossed that goes well for him. He’s shown an exemplary attitude since the unfortunate injury. He’ll soon be back doing his own rehab and pre-season to get back with us as quickly as possible.”
Goodman joins the following players in committing to the club for next season:
- Adam Mekki
- Adrian Clifton
- Frankie Raymond
- George Porter
- Jack Holland
- Jordan Higgs
- Luke Coulson
- Marc-Anthony Okoye
- Omar Bugiel
- Sam Wood
Manager Neil Smith remains in talks with members of the current squad and potential new signings.
