Bromley Football Club are pleased to announce that The H2T Group Stadium will play host to a pre-season fixture against local neighbours Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday 21st July, kick off 3pm.
The fixture will be played in memory of the late Glyn Beverly, who joined the Club in 1981 on the committee and went on to become Vice Chairman, and eventually Chairman. In 2000, Jerry Dolke took over the club with the blessing of Glyn, who was then made President of Bromley Football Club. Glyn also spent time at Dulwich, as a committee member and vice-chairman in the nineties. With his connection between the two sides, it has been agreed that the pre-season friendly will see the sides battle it out for “The Glyn Beverly Memorial Cup”.
Furthermore, it has been agreed that the gate receipts for the fixture will be shared equally between the two clubs, in aid of Dulwich’s fight to return to their rightful home of Champion Hill.
A full summary of confirmed pre season fixtures will be released later today (Thursday).
