Bromley Football Club are delighted to be offering Academy places for the 2020-21 academic year.

Coopers Secondary School and Bromley Football Club Academy are delighted to announce a unique and innovative collaboration. Both will endeavour to create an environment that enables players to develop, creating lots of flexible playing opportunities, whilst providing access to high quality facilities. The educational and footballing partnership will see the BFC Academy Coaching staff being responsible for providing high quality football to members of the Coopers 6th form. Coopers Students will study BTEC courses, with a full ‘A’ level provision for all players who wish to follow this pathway.

This collaboration will underpin the National League Trust initiative that focuses on supporting and encouraging every National League Club to become involved in education and their community. Through this partnership it will create greater opportunities and choice at Post 16. The students will be made up of ‘A’ level and BTEC students following their academic studies under the guidance of Coopers Secondary school teachers, with an outstanding football education syllabus being delivered by Bromley Football Club. Many students can access the new stadium development plans, state of the art elite performance training facilities and possibly the First Team squad during their time at the Club.

Sue Wood, Headteacher of Coopers Secondary School commented on the wonderful opportunity for students to work with the already successful Bromley FC, adding that the benefits will be felt across the whole school.

Mark Hammond, Director of BFCA commented; “Bromley Football Club are excited to continue growing the Club’s partnerships with one of the most recognised and leading schools in the Borough of Bromley and secondary school sector. This is a fantastic approach to engage young people in Post 16 education and football. The students on the programme really do have the best of both worlds; a quality education with access to elite football and coaching”.
