Preview: Crawley Town - part 2
|
13 July 2012

Manager, Mark Goldberg has announced an 18 man squad for tomorrow’s visit of League One side, Crawley Town.
The side, all of whom will get game time is as follows: Ali Chaaban, Tony Finn, Ali Fuseini, Bradley Goldberg, Liam Harwood, George Howard (GK), Albert Jarrett, Mike Jones, Pierre Joseph-Dubois, Michael Malcolm, Warren McBean, Sanchez Ming, Marlon Patterson, Aaron Rhule, Jerrome Sobers, Moses Swaibu, Danny Waldren and Gareth Williams.
Home fans will spot that the most notable admissions are Hakeem Araba, Tutu Henriques and Joe Welch.
Hakeem Araba has been offered terms by Bromley FC and attended the first few training sessions but is currently considering his options. Should Hakeem decide to move on the Club would be due compensation, in line with the Bosman ruling.
Following talks with Mark Goldberg around his role at the Club next season, Tutu Henriques has decided to move on, we believe accepting an offer from Merstham FC where he will be able to play regularly in his preferred position of central midfield whilst helping to develop younger players. Tutu’s contribution to our rise from Ryman Division One South to an established Blue Square Bet South side will never be forgotten and he will always be welcome at Hayes Lane.
Joe Welch is currently recovering from an ankle injury and will not be risked in pre-season friendlies until he is fully fit.
Whilst most of the names in the squad will be familiar to Bromley fans there are a couple of additions. George Howard was with Charlton Athletic from U12 level up to their academy but fractured his fibula at a key point in his career and was released by The Addicks at the end of last season. Sanchez Ming has previously played for Fisher Athletic, Welling United, Bishop’s Stortford and Dulwich Hamlet.
The Club’s intention is to run with a small “first team” squad next season with some of the players listed above, along with some of those who have been training with the first team during pre season, signing on dual registration with Ryman and/or Kent League sides and others playing for our new reserve side in the Suburban League.
