Bromley U15 League Champions!
|
07 March 2012

For a THIRD successive year Bromley are KYL North Champions.
The team has achieved this feat with two games to spare. During the course of the season the squad have been determined to play an expansive passing game at a high tempo. In some games the football played was great to watch, in others the squad have had to battle hard against determined opposition. But in all games the football was characterised by a tremendous work ethic which underpinned our success. It has been a squad effort and therefore it is difficult to pick out the contributions of individuals. Our defence has been solid all season, we conceded only 8 goals and the confidence of our back four has enabled us to develop a platform that the rest of the team could build on.
Later on this month we take on Canterbury in the League cup Final. So the training continues in preparation for a match which will be very tough, however we are determined to enjoy the occasion and do our best to bring back the silverware for Bromley.
Finally I need to thank one or two individuals who have contributed to the team’s success behind the scenes. Firstly Alton Francis and Richard Kemp from the Youth section for their organisation and support at all times. Secondly our coach Jamie Waller who has encouraged and developed a style of football that is good to watch and successful and finally my wife Gina who has had to put up with hours of discussion about football, the team structure, the training, the referees etc.
The boys in the squad are proud to part of Bromley Football Club as am I and we look forward to representing the club on tour in May and next season.
