AFC Wimbledon 0-4 BFC Academy
Bromley Blues kept up their winning run with a comprehensive 4-0 away win over AFC Wimbledon in a recent FCYA Premier Division fixture where Bromley proved too strong for their Football League opposition. The hosts started well in terms of possession but never really threatened the Bromley goal and as the game continued it was Bromley who began to create more opportunities with both Dan Hughes and Arron Rhule causing problems for the AFC defence and it was Rhule who cut in from the right to slot past the stranded GK for the opening goal. Bromley continued to press and started to dominate the game and the second goal came direct from a corner where Gary Webb’s corner was aided by the windy conditions and found its way into the net for a 2-0 lead at half time.
Bromley Blues were now in control with their opponent’s still trying to play their way back into the game but the Blues overcame any real threat and sub Felix Ogeah lobbed the GK for the third before Arron Rhule capped a good performance by scoring his second and closing the game out for a deserved 4-0 victory. It was a good all round team performance it was with centre half Nicos Spencer receiving the man of the match for his performance in ensuring the “Blues” finished with a clean sheet..
The win takes Bromley Blues to second in the Premier FCYA Division and has put them in a great position in what is a very tight title race however they travel to Borehamwood to play in the quarter final of the FCYA League Cup hoping they can maintain their excellent current form.
