Preview: Bromley v Truro City

Bromley v Truro City

Bromley are back in action this Saturday as Truro City visit Hayes Lane.

City currently sit 12th in the league with 31 points from their 25 games, an impressive total in only their first ever season at this level, the highest level the club has ever played at.

Bromley meanwhile, currently sit in 20th place, with 21 points from their 25 games, with a win on Saturday potentially taking them out of the relegation zone, above Hampton & Richmond Borough who currently sit just one place and one point above the Lillywhites.

Mark Goldberg's side will look to build on last weekend's trip to Woking, where a superb second-half battling performance saw the Lillywhites come from two goals down to draw level at the runaway leaders of the Blue Square Bet South, only for a deserved point to be snatched away after a controversial refereeing decision in the 7th minute of 4 additional minutes that had originally been signalled saw Woking score from a free-kick.

Despite the defeat, the Lillywhites will draw on the positives of that game, in particular the great support that travelled to the Kingfield Stadium and got behind their team, with Jerry Dolke praising the travelling supporters in Saturday's match day programme. The players will be hoping for a similar backing at Hayes Lane on Saturday, with Dolke describing the supporters as "the twelfth man", particularly after the vocal support that visibly lifted the players in the second-half last Saturday.

The squad itself was boosted this week with two encouraging pieces of news, the first being the arrival of former Millwall midfielder Ali Fuseini, who goes straight into the side for the clash with Truro as Bromley look to turn their recent fortunes around. The second piece of squad news saw hard working midfielder - and expert penalty taker - Danny Waldren commit his short-term future to the club by rejecting the chance to move to an un-named Blue Square Bet South club after a seven day approach was made for the former Croydon Athletic midfielder.

Both players will look to make an impact tomorrow as the Lillywhites look for their first victory of 2012.
